Chemsal utilises the HazPak 3000 densification system in its resource recovery operations. The HazPak machine provides extremely high levels of efficiency in removal of unwanted residues in order to recover recyclable materials such as steel from used paint tins. Hazpack can also be used to process used oil filters, aerosols and gas cylinders.
This extremely safe, automated system uses an inert environment in which to crush used gas cyclinders, without risk of explosion. As well as recovering the steel for recycling, it also draws off residual gases for recycling or safe, regulated disposal.
The system can process individual items of ut to 200 litres and has a maximum throughput of 8 cubic metres each hour.
Chemsal currently operates a HazPak unit in Melbourne and will be deploying various units around Australia.
